We offer pediatric dental services for kids as young as three years old.
Routine pediatric dental care is important to start with your children early on to ensure they develop healthy dental habits and mouths. The earlier your child begins routine dental visits, the more comfortable they’ll be as they become older and develop mature mouths.
Our experienced team of compassionate dental hygienists are committed to providing our youngest patients with gentle cleanings and exams to ensure healthy, happy mouths.
We know that dental visits can appear to be intimidating and unfamiliar to some children and we pride ourselves on helping them feel confident and comfortable during their pediatric cleaning appointments. We will move at a pace that helps your child be most comfortable and can schedule multiple visits if necessary.
Schedule Pre-Exam Meet & Greet
We invite you to bring your child before their scheduled appointment or during your next adult patient exam to get them comfortable with our dental office, equipment and staff.
Establish Friendly Rapport & Comfortability
Our kid-friendly team will greet your child with a smile and talk with them on how their exam will be conducted. TVs are located in each patient room where your child can relax and watch a favorite kid-friendly show during their exam.
Conduct Dental Exam & X-Rays
During your child’s exam, we’ll count baby teeth, check for cavities, floss and provide fluoride to protect from future cavities. X-rays are conducted annually to examine teeth (and potential permanent teeth), bones and jaw.
Discuss Kid Friendly Dental Habits
We’ll understand your child’s brushing habits and discuss how to maintain a healthy smile with blushing, flossing and any specific tips we think your child needs.
Provide Extra Special Care
In the event that your child needs dental treatment after their cleaning, we offer sedation services such as nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to help make them more comfortable.
Schedule Pediatric Follow-Up Exams
If we notice something that needs special pediatric attention, then our office will refer you to a specialized pediatric dental office in our network. At the end of your child’s appointment, don’t forget a prize from our prize box!
